Aimed at teenagers and young adults, Karim Abouelnaga’s Breaking Through: From Rough to Ready intends to help those coming from a “rough” background navigate their way to being “ready” for success based on lessons learned through Karim’s journey of overcoming an underprivileged upbringing in Queens, NY to becoming Founder & CEO of Practice Makes Perfect, an educational organization.
Considering the target audience and today’s most popular means of navigation, the cover is a nod to the IOS Maps user interface, incorporating an illustration of the map of Queens and encouraging the reader to literally “GO” from rough to ready.
